| lol i rememberr opening night, backstage, when taylorr and i were DYING--from laughter--because gigi had been using the same paper cup to get water for like days. it was all caked with dirt and had her make-up asnd lipstick all over it. hahahahha we could NOT stop laughing. mannn JU memories r just so funn. everyone breakk a leg At auditions and callbacks. :D PS: one show night in thee bizarre scene melissa and i kept saying "trinkets r us" when we were selling. | do u guys remember one night at practice in the scene after aladdin is harrassed by the GODT's. he is stuck in the cave and after he met the genies and daisy the dragon. theyr in the scene where aladdins mother and sisterr r looking forr him and asking some of thee merchants forr help. daniel, emily, megan, joe & thee rest of the little genies came in REALLY late for their scene. josh was likke "daniel! u guys what happened?!" & daniel was likkke "we got stuck in the cave.." lmao gooooodddd timeeesss:)! --- contributed by ellie<3 |

| Hello Everyone, this past spring my best friend Antoinette told me that she wanted to audtion for Aladdin and she asked me to also audtion with her, I didn't know about it at first but my sisters told me to go for it so I did. we (Antoinette and myself) went to audtions, very nervous, actually so nervous we called my second mom Antoinette's mom to come get us, we dicited we didn't want to audtion after all but she told us she wouldn't come get us until we did our audtion..but before we knew it our group had been calld and we were standing by the stage to do what we went there to do, Best friend was up first then I was right after her, I rememeber once I gotten off stage I handed my phone to Antoinette and I said "call mom, tell her we're done." it's silly now that I think of it, but we both made callbacks..two weeks later we recived our letters saying we made it on the cast, I'm so glad my best friend and my sisters talked me into it, it was a fun summer with my new friends, my JU family, Ms,Patsy, A summer filled with hard work, singing, dancing, inside jokes, sweat and tears but all worth it in the end. Thank you to my JU Family for making summer of '09 one of the best summers ever, I love and miss you all...can't wait till audtions this coming spring. --- contributed by Melissa Castro |

| I was part of the technical crew as one of the camera operators on the Saturday and Sunday performances. Who ever knew that the Inland Empire had such talented performers. | I have to say even though tonight(last night)was a bit chaotic we still did a good job. I think we will be ready by Friday night. Also I am not trying to be mean or make anyone upset and seem like they aren't doing anything right but I wanna give you cast members a few reminders.Please LISTEN to your stage crew members I know most of you do but there are a few who don't and we just want you guys to be safe and not get run over by sets and it would really help us do our job faster and easier, don't be on stage in the wings if you don't have to, that also makes it hard for us to do scene changes quickly. Please do not eat or drink anything on stage in the wings besides water we on stage right have found candy wrappers on the floor and we do not like having to clean that up. | Well, today we instituted flying and I was thrilled as I returned home realizing that this is it. We open Friday. We have tons of work to do, but you are hard workers and I have faith that each and every one of you will "give it all you got" from this point forward. In the words of Billy Dixon, "you gotta go for it baby!" Now, as I was reading all of the amazing positive comments, I was saddened by a few not so positive comments. As a person, it hurts me to see someone share and be shot down by mean-spirited comments. Sometimes people say mean things without thinking, but always think of how you would feel if the comment was directed to you. No one deserves that, especially since we are all working to do our best and have such a great show. Put yourself on the other end and think, "what if you were me and just supposin' I were you?" We are a family and families stick together. Sure, we may get on each others' nerves sometimes, but we must always work to boost each other up and support each other. There is enough negativity in this world and enough people outside of our JU family who may want to tear us down; let's not be part of it. Not as your director, but as a person, I ask that we keep this board going with the many random comments of kindness, praises and well-wishes. This is a great tool for uplifting each other and saying thank you. You are all amazing people with the biggest hearts and wonderful work ethic. "Shout it out so all the world will know." Going into heck week, I just wish to say that it has been an honor and a pleasure to be your director this summer and I thank you all for making this experience so special to me.
